BeforeAfter is a condition-documentation service that lets you capture before-and-after photos, notes, comparisons, and reports. This policy describes the information the service processes and the choices available to you.
When you use BeforeAfter, the service may process photos you choose to capture or upload, record names and notes, timestamps, comparison and review information, and account information such as your email address when you sign in. Basic technical information needed to operate and secure the website may also be processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
Guest records may remain on the device/browser where you created them. If you sign in and sync records, account records and associated photos are stored in our cloud infrastructure so they can be recovered and used across supported devices.
We use information to provide condition-documentation features, store and sync records you request, generate comparisons and reports, maintain security, diagnose problems, and improve the service. BeforeAfter does not claim to determine causation, responsibility, authenticity, hidden damage, or legal admissibility from your photos.
Automated or AI-assisted photo analysis may be offered as an optional feature. When such a feature is enabled, the interface will identify it. Automated analysis can be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed by the user.
BeforeAfter relies on service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, database and file storage. Those providers process information as needed to provide their services to BeforeAfter.
You can delete individual condition records from the application. Deleting a synced record is intended to remove that record and its associated stored photos from active application storage. Backup, security, or operational copies may persist for a limited period where maintained by infrastructure providers. Account-level deletion functionality is still being developed during beta; for account or privacy requests, contact support.
We use access controls intended to keep signed-in users' records private to their accounts. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid uploading information you do not need for your condition record.
BeforeAfter is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by children to submit personal information.
We may update this policy as the beta and service evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
